* Vera Lane Studio: Old MacDonald

Hello!

Today sees the release of three new sets of farmyard themed digis from Vera Lane Studio.

Here's my farmyard scene card using a combination of all the sets:

For this I arranged the digis where I wanted them then printed, coloured and fussy cut. They are popped on foam pads on top of a gelli print background which has some raffia trim across the bottom part. I decided to mat the gelli print onto kraft card to add to the rustic vibe! The sentiment is from the Old Mac set.

* Vera Lane Studio: Little Houses

Hello!

Today I'm sharing a card and a notebook cover that I made for Vera Lane Studio.

I used the new pre-coloured collage sheets - they are so quick and easy to create with, and the colours are simply fabulous!

Here is the card made from Little Houses Collage Sheet 2.

I printed out the pdf and fussy cut the images. There are houses in a row, individual houses and clouds in the set. I chose some of the individual houses according to the house numbers and arranged them in a row. I added just a touch of Neocolour II to house number 9, as it was a little paler in colour than the rest, then I added Glossy Accents to the house windows, doors and to the polka dots in the clouds. The images were adhered directly on to a gelli print background (texture added by using a piece of Anaglypta embossed wallpaper!) and outlined to form shadows. Next I added a hand drawn border and the sentiment which comes from the Tall Town set.

And here is my notebook cover. This was made with Little Houses,  Wings for Things  and Arthur Ave Collage Sheet 1

I found this spiral bound notebook with a hard kraft card cover tucked away on my bookshelf. I masked off the spiral bound section and applied acrylic paint in two shades of sage green and light blue with my fingers. When it was dry, I added some white and a bit of stamping. I adhered the collage elements, adding Glossy Accents here and there. To finish I added some gold foil using foil transfer adhesive. As I removed the masking tape, I realised that too much kraft card was showing, so I added some gold embossed washi tape.

Vera Lane Studio: Seeing Red

Hello!

Over at Vera Lane Studio Facebook group, we have a monthly ATC swap. The theme for February is Seeing Red and Corrie is the host. We can use red and pink, plus black, white and flesh colours.

Here is what I made:

ATC 1 - New Day

I used New Day for this ATC. The images are coloured with Copics, fussy cut and mounted on foam onto a gelli print background with  a couple of number strip borders from Heads and Borders. Some torn washi tape adds a little more detail.

 ATC 2 - Heart Fairy

Here is the Heart Fairy popped on foam onto another gelli print background. I used one of Vera's Borders for decoration and some washi tape. The word 'fly' is from Collage Sheet Number 1.

* Janis turns 60: Chickens

Hello!

One of my blogging buddies, Janis from Her Peaceful Garden is turning 60 this month and she's organised an ATC party. Each week in February she'll announce a new theme. Week 2's theme is ... And the Chickens.

Janis loves cats, in fact she owns about sixteen! She also has some chickens, so here's my homage to Janis's back yard :)

I used a lovely image from a Gecko Galz collage sheet. I distressed and inked the edges of the image and prepared a 2.5 x 3.5 cm background for it. I applied Vintage Photo ink to the ATC base then adhered some raffia trim. I layered a snippet of twine trim across the centre then added some cheesecloth and then popped the image on foam pads. Ivory twine was wrapped around one edge of the ATC and tied with a bow. A hessian flower and button was popped in one corner.

***
I also made this quirky ATC: I'm calling it Cats Among the Pigeons Chickens!

I used quirky and whimsical digital stamps from Vera Lane Studio (Cats and Crocks and New Day). The digis are coloured with Copics and fussy cut. The cats and chickens eyes have Glossy Accents applied so that they shine. They are popped on foam pads on top of a gelli print background with some natural fibres. A hand drawn border finishes the ATC.

Thanks for stopping by today.
